  3. Egaint relies on BIOS for reading the keyboard, so, no, this doesn't
  4. (well, it shouldn't) mean that egaint is non-compatible with TSR
  5. keyboard enhancers.

  7. Rather, this means egaint plays better with them.

  9. If you have a keyboard enhancer which adjusts the typematic rate, you
  10. will probably find that playing egaint with it is a tad bit easier than
  11. playing without it.  I'm not quite sure how to explain this, so that's
  12. all I'm going to say:  you'll just have to try it out yourself.

  14. I personally use this archaic program (copyrighted 1985) by Skip
  15. Gilbrech called "kbfix2"; though it's old, it quite versatile:  not only
  16. does it adjust the typematic rate of my keyboard, but it also provides
  17. an extended keyboard buffer (among other things).  Unfortunately, I got
  18. years and several computers ago without any sort of documentation
  19. whatsoever, so I don't know if it is shareware or if the author still
  20. supports it (and if there is a newer version out).
